Blue-Eyed Individuals Come From the Same Family

Everyone originally had brown eyes. It was only until six to ten thousand years ago when the OCA2 gene was discovered in a certain family. This genetic mutation caused a variation in the eyes’ melanin content. Because the difference in genetic composition was so small, it was easily traced to the same heritage.

You Can Have Different-Colored Eyes

It’s possible to have different-colored eyes and no, it’s not just by using contact lenses. Heterochromia iridis is a condition that’s characterized by having eye colors that don’t match.
